Kamayan: A Communal Dining Experience to benefit WCFR
May 30, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$45
“Kamayan” refers to the traditional practice in the Philippines of eating with one’s hands. Chef Paolo Mendoza will prepare a Filipino feast, which will be laid out directly on banana leaves, along communal tables. No plates, no utensils, no pretense. Diners experience a connection to their food and to their dining companions.
As a true celebration of community and connection, it is only fitting that our first Kamayan dinner benefit a wonderful community organization, Worldwide Community First Responder (WCFR).
WCFR’s mission is “to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training.” The organization provides education about fatal health conditions and preventative measures, along with first aid and first responder training. Services are provided free of charge by a diverse group of volunteers.
