Marguerite Thony Scholarship
Marguerite Thony is the mother of WCFR Founder & President, Dr. Jacqueline Cassagnol, PhD, MSN, RN, PMC and Vice President, Dr. Hans Cassagnol, MD, MMM. From Syracuse, NY, Marguerite passed away on February 24th, 2018. We thank everyone who donated to WCFR in her honor.
The purpose of the Marguerite Thony Scholarship is to provide scholarship awards to college students pursuing a healthcare profession. WCFR is awarding scholarships of $500 or $1000 to students in Haiti and USA. Scholarships are available as funds are available.
WCFR has awarded eight scholarships to deserving college students since 2018. Six scholarships were awarded in Haiti at Faculté des Sciences Infirmières de Léogâne (FSIL). Two scholarships were awarded in the USA at Spring Valley High School and Ramapo High School. These scholarships were made possible thanks to the generous donations from our members and the community.
